Dennis Voelkel focuses his practice in two general areas -- Corporate Law & Estate Planning

Corporate Law

Dennis offers practical legal advice aimed at maximizing profits and minimizing risk. Common representation includes business and real estate sales and acquisitions, business formations, financing, non-profit formation and representation, risk management, employment relationships, business succession plans and buy-sell agreements, sales and distribution arrangements, and intellectual property rights protection. Dennis' practice philosophy involves more than merely the application of seasoned technical skills to solve his clients' problems. He applies his real world business and investing experience to the opportunities and problems faced by his clients, often assisting them evaluate both the economics and the risks of business opportunities.

Estate Planning

Instead, each estate plan must be designed for the client's particular circumstances and goals. Dennis works with clients to help them uncover their own priorities then implement a plan to accomplish those goals. Such plans often include passing assets to loved ones in a manner that enhances their lives while protecting those assets from creditors, former spouses in divorce, and the beneficiary's own poor judgment. For clients with estates that may be subject to federal estate tax, Dennis designs estate plans to minimize or eliminate such taxes using a variety of basic and advanced estate tax planning techniques. For clients with charitable objectives, Dennis designs charitable gifting strategies and structures that benefit the charity while also, in many cases, accomplishing other important tax and family goals.

Dennis and his staff also assist clients administer the trusts and estates of their loved ones, recognizing the importance to doing so both efficiently and in a timely manner. Because he understands that this process can be a stressful time for many families, Dennis attempts to promote family harmony by keeping the lines of communication open and the beneficiaries well informed.
